Lindamood-Bell is an internationally recognized leader in the research and remediation of learning difficulties for children and adults. Our founders have developed cutting edge research-based programs to develop the underlying skills for reading, spelling, and language comprehension and are dedicated to enhancing learning for all people, for all ages...for life.

The Lindamood-Bell® Literacy Corps provides literacy instruction and professional development support to schools and school districts across the country. For over 10 years, we have enriched the lives of countless at-risk students and been a support system for teachers, eager to learn how they can help a student with special learning needs reach their potential.

Literacy Corps Members

The Lindamood-Bell® Literacy Corps consists of qualified individuals—from all backgrounds and career interests—eager to make a difference for children, teachers, and parents across the country. Corps members will have the opportunity to travel and live in different locations throughout the country. Project sites have included remote villages in Alaska, the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, Bermuda, and Bronx, New York.

Literacy Corps Preparation & Duties

Our members complete an extensive orientation in our unique programs and are supported by a team of experienced senior corps members at all times.

Literacy Corps Duties (may include one or all)
Provide Lindamood-Bell® instruction
Provide student assessments
Provide professional development to site staff
Oversee day-to-day operations

Preparing For Your Future

While providing much needed and appreciated literacy instruction, corps members can take advantage of a strong support network to help them gain experiences that will benefit them throughout their life. Future teachers, doctors, coaches, politicians, ministers, journalists, and others, will have the opportunity to make a difference for a child while at the same time develop skills for leadership, resilience, problem-solving, nurturing, time management, oral and written communication, and compassion.
