Patrick Seveland
El Cajon, CA

Diagnosed with ADHD in kindergarten and living in a foster home, 17-year old Patrick had never received special education services until last fall. When he finally received one-to one training at a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center in Solana Beach, CA, his reading skills improved from lower elementary to grade-level in just three months. Contributing to his success has been a growing passion for horseback riding. Through riding he has developed a keen interest in show jumping, games on horseback and helping other disadvantaged kids develop confidence through the sport.
